FIRST-RATE LOCAL EXPERIENCES — RIGHT HERE IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Our town of Monument boasts its Tri-Lakes Independence Day celebration is one of the “Biggest Small Town parades in the USA”.  We like being small-town and we pride ourselves in keeping our hometown country vibe, even as the bustle of the I-25 corridor zooms through the very center of our landscape.

Have you heard the country song “Famous Friends” by Chris Young and Kane Brown? That song reminds us that small town heroes matter. We’d love you to meet and experience some our small-town-famous-friends.

Each of these experiences is right here in our neighborhood–literally right around the corner.  They are perfect for that afternoon or evening when you have a couple hours and don’t want to drive far … but you still want to have a fabulous, unique, memory-making experience. Our neighbors just might end up being the highlight of your entire trip!

This page is still a concept in the works, so if you are interested in one of these experiences, please let us know early — we’ve still got some legwork to do to turn these awesome ideas into a reality.

Wine tasting

Our neighbors Chris and Wendy run a  vacation rental business as well. Theirs is a “glamping” (a high-end tenting) experience that you might want to also try out on a trip to Colorado. They offer wine tasting to their guests…and to ours (YOU!) when the timing works out. The scenery from their back porch is more than worth the price of admission itself, not to mention some surprisingly superior wines. They’ve even brought the wine to the Fly-by sometimes–so you don’t have to drive home afterwards and your kids can play mini-golf while you taste awesome wines!

They say: “We make our own wine, beer, and kombucha. Would you like a tour of our cellar? If timing is right, we can show you some of the process we do, and we’re up to arranging a tasting if you’d like.

NOTE: This is strictly a homebrewing operation and not commercial.”
